Booked the day before online, was a super easy process. Monique was absolutely fabulous! Had a very sore back being at later stage of pregnancy and the pregnancy massage was perfect. She even did some dry needling based on what my complaints were. It was both super relaxing but also felt like the muscles were getting really great attention. She was really attentive to where my tension was and you could tell she has exceptional knowledge and experience in the way she explained what she was going to focus on and how that was help my specific issues. Pathway to Present
In Australia I am titled Remedial Massage Therapist. However in Brazil, I graduated in Physiotherapy in 2017 and completed my postgraduate degree in Osteopathy in 2018.
My career began at a soccer club in Brazil, where I worked directly with athletes on injury prevention and rehabilitation. I then moved into orthopaedics at a private clinic, followed by 2 years at the Knee and Hip Institute, where I deepened my expertise in conditions related to runners and complex orthopaedic cases.
Over the years, I’ve helped with a wide range of people – (high-level athletes, normal business people and older individuals) restore movement, reduce pain, and return to their activities.
My treatments blend physio therapy principles with advanced manual therapy techniques – aiming not just to relieve pain but to address causes of dysfunction.
What are my treatments like?
Effective therapy starts by identifying which body systems are causing symptoms. My approach combines hands-on treatment – including visceral manipulation techniques from osteopathy, Jaw Massage and mobilisation (TMJ) release, and scar tissue release for post surgical scars such as C-Section scar mobilisation. I am able to assist with education through personalised exercise. I follow up with every client to ensure that outcomes are being obtain.
My Experience
Having worked in high-performance sports, clinical orthopaedics, and knee and hip rehabilitation has given me a strong foundation for assessing and treating complex musculoskeletal conditions.
