Frequently Asked Questions
I'm new to Yoga and don't know if I can do it.
Everyone has to start somewhere and you can do as much or as little as you like. Even one class a week consistently will start to bring change.
All the instructors monitor students and provide guidance and modifications so you can do yoga at any age. If you need some inspiration watch the video on the left!
Do you supply a mat or do I have to bring one?
For your trial period we will supply a yoga mat, after your trial period mat hire is $1 per class. You are also welcome to bring your own and store it with us. It MUST have your name on it, otherwise we end up with random yoga mats. We are not responsible for your mat if you choose to leave it with us.
I don't know if I should get a class pass or membership.
We always suggest you take out an 8 week membership for either 2 classes per week or unlimited classes per week after your trial period.
The reason is that this creates a sense of routine and commitment. Both of these are necessary if you are going to really achieve any results.
What if I have a membership and I have to go away?
No problem, come to reception or call us and we will place your membership on hold. You are allowed one hold per membership but in certain circumstances we can be flexible. If you have special circumstances we will always take that into account.
I have an injury, can I do Yoga?
This depends on the injury, how long ago you did it, what treatment you have had etc. You are required to complete a form and discuss these issues with your instructor. Liza Markova and Wendy Bruce are both Myotherapists and can confidently discuss your issues with you. They will let you know if there are certain postures or movements you should not do. We may ask you to get a doctors clearance in some circumstances.
