The first thing I studied when I left high school was massage.I have for over 15 years been doing Swedish massage from home or out of several gyms where I work as a personal trainer. As I have always had an interest in helping to keep people's bodies strong, healthy and balanced. That led me to my Diploma in Remedial Massage and Bachelor of Health Science in Musculoskeletal Therapy to take that knowledge to the next level. I have myself experienced health issues and injuries which allows me to have a personal understanding and knowledge in helping others find balance in their lives.
MST involves a more in-depth assessment including biomechanics, exercise, rehab prescription and works not only with soft tissue, but encompasses other structures such as joints, tendons and ligaments and nerve pathways.
Anyone suffering low back pain, vertebral disc degeneration, TMJ, Chronic headaches, migraines, joint, muscle and tendon injuries will benefit. I may use techniques such as manual muscle release, joint mobilisation, nerve pathway mobilisation, cupping, dry needling, Vagus nerve stimulation, exercise prescription and taping. My goal is for anyone from the general public with a painful condition, to sports enthusiasts and athletes alike stay injury free and able to enjoy their quality of life or sport to the full.
Working as a PT and Remedial Therapist I have an excellent understanding of the demands of a training schedule and the need for regular maintenance as well as injury management. I can tailor our massage sessions to support your training regime, help you understand imbalances so you know where to lengthen, what to strengthen and when to rest. My goal for all general sports enthusiasts and athletes alike is to help them stay injury free and able to enjoy their sport or activity of choice. This is where a Remedial Massage will benefit you to maintain your general functional movement with as little discomfort as possible no matter your level of activity.
I have been working in the fitness industry for almost 10 years, and have extensive experience in teaching all kinds of fitness classes from high intensity to strength and Pilates. In 2018 I started at a fantastic private training studio called Blueprint Health and Fitness located in the CBD at level 1B 181 Elizabeth Street, for more of what they do visit www.blueprinthealthandfitness.com.au. The benefits of the personal studio environment are no memberships or joining fees, and less of a crowded environment than the commercial gyms.
I specialise in injury rehab and prevention as completing my MST degree has given me an advanced knowledge of how the body functions and repairs, far more than most PTs out there. I have continued to expand my knowledge as a Registered Fitness Professional with Fitness Australia and have a vast array of exercise knowledge to suit anyone with any goals.
I feel anyone can benefit from my treatments from those just feeling stressed out to those with a specific health injury. I have the knowledge to help general tension issues to the very specific and painful injuries and everything in between. My extensive rehab and exercise prescription experience will advise you on the best way to keep the pain and tension away for longer while improving your results in the gym or field. I am always continuing to learn and improve my skills to deliver the best results for my clients and increase my knowledge of evidence-based practise.

I have spent most of my adult life learning ways to help others improve their health and fitness. A general sense of health is the most valuable thing they have and I love to inspire others about how to get the most out of their body and their life.
