I've been lucky to have grown up around Brisbane and love the outdoor lifestyle of scuba diving, surfing and camping. Natural health healing, especially massage, has always been a great interest to me and I am very grateful to have made it my new career.
After years of working as a 3D Mechanical design draftsman and as a Carpenter, I can relate to the unhealthy problems that long hours of seated computer desk work creates and the problems that arise from imbalanced physical work with repetition. My chronic back condition gradually got worse and was greatly helped by Remedial massage, stretching, Chiropractic and Acupuncture therapy. This ignited my interest, and connected me to my true passionate journey to become a Remedial Therapist, and to help others.
My treatments cater for your needs and we determine relevant stretches for you to continue with. If relaxation is all you feel you want, then Swedish massage will help lower stress and release tension. Remedial treatments can incorporate Orthopaedic testing for assessment and focus. Depending on the condition, Remedial techniques can include Myofascial release (MFR), Neuromuscular trigger point (NMT), Positional release techniques (PRT), Muscular energy techniques (MET). Your comfort is priority and during all treatments, Its important for me to check in on how you’re breathing and feeling.
My Goal is to provide professional personal Remedial massage therapy treatments, with the hope to lower emotional stress, help each individuals mental well being and physical health, and for us to focus, educate and improve your way of life.
Generally for me, Remedial massage therapy plays a really important balance to the pressures of modern day lifestyles that we live. Whether you’re just over stressed from long work hours, preventing injuries from sports training, or recovering from some type of trauma, regular Remedial treatment is important to help sustain your lifestyle and help make your quality of life the priority.
What stands out for me with Remedial massage, is the direct hands on feel and focus to help release what the problem area is, and also the link of other parts of the body that may be contributing. The connection of our muscle conditions to our emotional well being is important and aiming at making positive changes and results through massage in a person is what I enjoy and feel passionate about.
The migraines I have been suffering from have drastically reduced in frequency and severity.
I had no doubts booking in a massage at Knead as the location, price and availability were all perfect for me, in fact the space they have created is one that I look forward to visiting. From the minute I walk in the door to when I leave everyone I encounter is friendly and welcoming.
Dan has been my massage therapist for some time now and I have found great improvement in both my posture and overall wellbeing. His treatments are holistic and he always reviews my posture, identifying any pain points that need specific attention for that session.
I have suffered from migraines in the past as I sit at a computer all day causing stress in my back, neck and shoulders. Since working with Dan, the migraines have reduced in number and severity.
I am a great advocate for Knead Massage as they have therapists available before and after normal work hours, you can book online at your convenience and there are numerous other therapies such as yoga that complement each other and all aim to provide a collaborative approach to your health.
