I started this journey 10 years ago by receiving a range of different massages myself which was a constant need as a dancer, life model and office worker.
When I started massaging close friends and family it became obvious to me that I was offered a different direction in life and that I wanted to share my skills and become a therapist myself.
My style as a body worker is versatile and tailor fit. It is important to me to work holistically; treating the body and mind together and working with you to release tension and pain.
I hold Swedish, relaxation and remedial massage certification with two years of study in different colleges; and have 5 years of experience in Remedial massage.
I use myofascial techniques that work with movement to release and enhance your range of motion. I prefer to treat at each muscle attachment site, incorporating light mobilisations and trigger point methods, as this is most affective to engage you with your mind with your body.
My mission as a therapist is to strategically teach clients to take action and manage their own health; therefore I enjoy working with people who are actively supportive of that process and goal.
Massage and lets face it Zen meditation has engaged me with my own body, becoming aware of how I move, where I hold stress and how to let go and as these are recognised as some of the most important things to be aware of; I enjoy sharing and teaching clients about body and mind self-awareness. When I massage clients, I feel the most gratification when I’ve taught them how to look after themselves and explained the process. I am proud of my client’s achievement to work with me and I enjoy seeing the physical change in my clients.
